Dancing has always been a big part of my life. As a child most of my days were filled up with creating new dance routines or taking ballet classes and then as a teen I'd be up dancing all night, at raves. Dance has been my biggest respite. When I dance, I unplug from my worries, my self-loathing and my propensity to step out of the present moment. It allows me to experience more fully my essence, my heart and being in a state of oneness with the human and the non-human community.

At 15 I went to my first 5Rhythms workshop with the founder, Gabrielle Roth and I instantly resonated with her teachings. I discovered that 5Rhythms was an incredible tool for self-discovery as well as learning how to open my heart to myself and to others.

When I danced, I felt more alive. I felt at home. I had found a practice that spoke to me and from that first workshop, the 5Rhythms became my movement medicine.

My teens were a difficult time and having the support of my 5Rhythms practice and my regular class with Sue Rickards, was life-saving for me. When I was twenty, I did the foundation year for Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, and that combined with my practice of the 5Rhythms gave me the confidence and ground work to write a book for teenage girls, called Sisters Unlimited - Every girl's guide, to life, love, bodies and BEING YOU, published by Random House.

It wasn't until I moved to Mallorca in my late twenties and had become a mother to two daughters and a step-daughter, that I felt ready to do the teacher training. I began teaching in Mallorca 15 years ago and at the same time I opened a dance and yoga studio in the centre of Mallorca called Earth Yoga. I left Mallorca at the end of 2011 and I now live in Oxford with my husband and our four teenagers. In 2014 we opened our first health food shop Wild Honey, and since we have opened two more. As well as offering tons of lovely produce our shops have become central well-being hubs for our community.

During the pandemic I stopped holding classes and instead gathered dancers to the woods to move together during this difficult time. Since then I have started a monthly Sunday morning class

I prioritise the ongoing journey of learning from other modalities and space holders who I feel in alignment with. I  completed 2 years of Family Constellations training with Nicola Dunn in 2021 and I'm presently doing a Shamanic Training with Carol Day and the foundation year for Intuitive Herbalism with Nathanial Hughes.

I believe it's essential for us to learn how to practice self-care and I offer this in the spaces that I hold.

I have been dancing 5 Rhythms for nearly 20 years and Jess's class in Oxford is my favourite out of the many classes that I have attended over the years. So good that I regularly travel from London to participate. Every 5 Rhythms teacher is different of course. I find that Jess has a unique sensitivity to the body's rhythms and how they correspond to music. In her classes she creates an intimate and safe space to allow dancers to explore themselves as deeply and sensitively as they dare to go. Dancing one of Jess's classes is an exquisite experience. I love Jessica's classes, feel held and encouraged to delve into the dance that my physical body wishes to express; also the way she takes us through body parts into the flowing rhythm of the dance, brilliant! Lizzie Austin, Homeopath

Jessica's groups are the highlight of my week. With her excellent facilitation skills I can move through all the week's issues in my own way and I step back into the world calmer, more resilient and hopeful.
Whatever you are dealing with in your everyday life Jessica creates a safe space. She facilitates unobtrusively with grace, warmth and honesty so you can experience transformation to a more peaceful and contented state.

Jessica’s movement classes are better than any drug prescription!  For me they are essential physical, mental, emotional and social maintenance. Her eclectic wide-ranging choice of music inspires me to move in all sorts of ways I might not usually, helping to make sense of and process whatever toxins, emotions, narratives might be storing up in my body.
Her unobtrusive facilitation, tangibly underpinned by years of experience, provides a safely held permissive space for anything that might emerge.  The class benefits from Jessica’s own continuing curiosity and learning about the human experience.  Amanda Maffett, Life Coach

"From the first time I stepped on a dance floor with Jess I was touched by her deep embodiment and grace. I have since been present at many of Jess's weekly classes, including the women's sessions and also been to weekend and day long workshops she has facilitated. Jess responds to the energetic field in her movement sessions with a wide range of music that seems to invite the body to move in new and essential ways. Her sensitive suggestions to slow movement down, or bring attention inwards to the breath and inner sensation or outwards to another human being just at the 'right' moment are deeply intuitive and have allowed me a sense of connection and safety in my body. Jess combines strength, vulnerability and openness in her offerings to the Oxford community and leads the way for many of us in inspiring love and collaboration. I look forward to dancing with Jess again soon". Sarah Jane Heath, Artist
