Hi everyone,
Long exhale...
This feels like a tender message to write. I want to be honest and to model that it’s okay — and sometimes essential — to pause and take care of oneself. It feels both vulnerable and important to share this openly.
Over the past year, I’ve been moving through some big internal shifts and deep healing. I’ve been working somatically with wonderful therapists to unwind and reset long-held survival patterns in my nervous system — patterns that, in different ways, we all carry as humans. It’s been profound work, full of learning, gratitude, and transformation. I want to keep finding ways to make this kind of embodied healing more accessible to others.
With this growth has also come a clear need for rest and resourcing. For the next couple of months, I’ll be simplifying and giving myself time to be with what’s moving through me — while limiting my energy to tending to our shops, loved ones, and daily life.
This means I’ll be pausing my Sunday morning classes, Monday classes, and Women’s classes, and I won’t be holding space for Solstice this year. I’ll miss dancing with you, but I know this time of rest will allow me to return in January refreshed and more deeply rooted in what I offer.
Jon will be covering my two Monday classes November 24th and December 15th(which will be our last one). Neil will be teaching the other classes.
My Monday Closed Group for January has just one space left, If you’d like to join, please get in touch. A beautiful group is forming, and I’m excited to be weaving together somatic movement and dance in new ways.
For now, I wish you gentleness, rest, and space to care for yourself in whatever ways you need. I look forward to dancing with you in the New Year.
With warmth and gratitude,
Jessica x
